Quit smoking in 2021 sounds like the hardest resolution. Expecially during a time of extended lockdowns. But how is this achieved?

I became a smoker in my teens. A mixture of peer pressure, vulnerability and uncertainty caused this to happen. Purchasing a packet of sterling sliver superkings became a regular thing. It was also the worst thing for my health. It never crossed my mind that one day I would finally quit smoking.

Slowly I was internally damaging my internal organs. And there are thousands of young people in the UK commiting the same personal crimes.

Close to 207,000 children in the UK start smoking.

One day I had an awakening and knew it was time to do something about it. It was time to quit smoking.

These 5 effective techniques are what I used on my journey. Its time to get serious for God.

Quit Smoking Technique number 1

Distance yourself from others who smoke. It is challenging at first. However, by declining invitations it will prevent you from being tempted to smoke with peers. You will feel in control of your enviornment the more you do this. You don’t want to be a passive smoker either. So stay away from them.

Quit smoking Technique number 2

Attract people in your life who share similar health values as you. In other words, people who are into fitness, eating healthy food, committed to self care, and connecting to God. As a result, they can help motivate you to reset your life. It will help you push forward in being your true self again and enjoying a healthier and fulfilling life.

Effective Technique number 3

Furthermore, when triggers in the body appear, replace it with something else. Your bound to have triggers, but these can be managed. Get your mind used to something else e.g. fruit, a sweet, reading a book, or listening to a podcast. Overtime your body will get used to these things. As a result, a natural habit will serve you and be powerful.

Number 4

Equally important, don’t tell anyone you stopped smoking. Whilst making this transition in your life do it in secret. Others might persuade you to convert to your old ways. Therefore, it is important to live your truth quietly until they realize on their own.

FIVE

Use your imagination. Connect to your higher self. Similarly, the person you imagine becoming in the future. Mindfulness, meditation, and exercise are great methods which helped me.

In short, it is possible to quit smoking in 2021. Stay committed to these techniques, do what the spirit of the lord tells you to do. Above all, you will be victorious.
